Marnie Goodfriend is a writer, artist, and activist. She is 2018 VCCA fellow, recipient of the Jane G. Camp scholarship and a 2016 PEN Center USA Emerging Voices fellow. As a freelance writer and author, she focuses on trauma, women's health, relationships, gender politics and adoption. She has completed her first memoir, Birth Marks, a coming of age story about a child illegally sold to a deeply flawed family by an infamous baby broker, and is currently working on her second memoir and a book of fiction. Marnie is the creative nonfiction editor at Angels Flight • literary west and essays editor at The Nervous Breakdown. She canyon dwells under the Hollywood sign with her Bullpei rescue, Dempsey.
