Marnie Goodfriend is a writer, mentor, and sexual violence speaker. She is 2018 VCCA fellow, recipient of the Jane G. Camp scholarship and a 2016 PEN Center USA Emerging Voices fellow. As a freelance writer and author, she focuses on trauma, body dysmorphia, sexual assault, adoption, family, mental health and women’s issues. She has completed her first memoir, Birth Marks, a coming of age story about a child illegally sold to a dysfunctional family by an infamous baby broker, and is currently working on her second memoir and a book of fiction. Marnie is the creative nonfiction editor at Angels Flight • literary west. She canyon dwells under the Hollywood sign with her Bullpei rescue, Dempsey.
